Isaac Haire/Hetherington Brown
(father of Mary Brown, wife of James Walker Mobley; grandfather of Ozias Craft Mobley; great-grandfather of Alpha Mobley Rowlan)
Born in Scotland in 1806, Isaac has a much researched and interesting history. A well documented account may be found here: The History of Isaac Brown His original surname is presumed to be MacDiarmid, a west Highland clan of Dalriadan descent. See history here: "MacDiarmid Origins"
Isaac became the first Postmaster General of Blooming Rose, MO, much to the later chagrin of my Uncle Paul. But that's another story.
